Eric & Corinne Laguerre are at the top of their game. Their plots: @500m altitude at the foot of the Pyrénées, mostly on granite, and organically farmed since 1999. The resulting wines are superb. Here le Ciste, named after the neighbouring flowering bush, has concentrate gooseberry/ pineapple fruits with a rare granitic mountain freshness. ABV: 13.5%.
